The 2017 edition of the Map of Bush Fire Prone Areas was published on Wednesday 31 May 2017. This edition identifies both ‘new’ bush fire prone areas and those ‘continuing’ from earlier editions of the Map. All designated bush fire prone areas are coloured pink on the Map, with the newly designated areas further highlighted by a blue cross-hatched overlay.

The Asset Protection Zones allows for a buffer zone between the building and any bushfire danger, this allows for the radiant heat levels to be at an acceptable level
